The last date for Income Tax Returns Filing is about two months. Usually refund amount is received within 15 days of filing the return. In such a situation, there is no need to panic if you have not received the refund yet. This can happen if the account number or other information is given incorrectly while filing the return. You can apply online again in the tax department to get the refund.

Apply for Refund again Online

First click on the Income Tax Department website www.incometaxreturnfiling.gov.in. After that, click on My Account and go to the link for service request. After this, click on request type and click on new request. Then select the Re-issue Refund tab in the request category. After this, the information related to you and the reason for refund failure will have to be filled. After this, submit button has to be pressed.

Income Tax Department gives notice of getting Refund

After completing the return process, the Income Tax Department decides that you have to give the refund, then send information in this regard via SMS or email. It tells how much amount you will be paid as a refund. Also, a refund sequence number is also given in it. You get the refund only in a pre-validated bank account. This entire process is completed within 15 days. Preparations are underway to complete it in less time.

Know the Reason for not Getting Refund

If you do not get a refund, first log in to your income tax account on the Income Tax Department website. Then click on My Accounts followed by Refund and then Demand Status. After this, fill the assessment year for which you have to find the refund. After doing this, information related to refund will be revealed. You will get information about not sending refund in this.

Fill Bank Account Number Carefully

To get the refund amount directly in the account, fill the bank account information carefully. Well nowadays bank account and your returns are already linked. If you do not already have a linked account, the first thing to do is to verify it. After this, options for e-verification will appear. Choose the appropriate mode of e-verification. Generate and fill the Electronic Verification Code (EVC) / Aadhaar OTP to submit the request. A message will come after submitting the refund re-issue request which means that your application has been successfully accepted. A refund will be issued to you soon.
